General Terms and Conditions
1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) apply to all consulting and training services provided by Simon Hannig under the name FlavorFocusLab ("FFL") to businesses and consumers. Deviating terms of the client apply only if FFL has agreed to them in writing.
2. Scope of services
FFL offers strategic consulting in fermentation and food business, plus optional team training/workshops. Submitting the contact form does not create a contract — it is a non-binding enquiry. The specific scope, date and price are set out individually in a separate offer.
3. Formation of contract
The contract is formed once FFL has issued an individual offer to the client and the client has accepted it in writing (including by email). Until then, neither party is bound.
4. Fees and payment
Fees follow the individually agreed offer. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due within 14 days without deduction. Statutory default interest rules apply in case of late payment.
5. Rescheduling and cancellation
Agreed dates can be rescheduled free of charge up to 7 days in advance. For later rescheduling or cancellation by the client, FFL may charge a reasonable cancellation fee unless the time can be booked otherwise.
6. Right of withdrawal for consumers
Consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from contract formation (§§ 355, 356 BGB). If the client expressly requests that the consulting service begin before the withdrawal period ends and confirms this separately, the right of withdrawal expires once the service is fully performed; on early withdrawal, the portion of the service already rendered must be paid pro rata.
7. Liability
FFL's consulting services reflect professional assessments and recommendations, not guarantees of success or health outcomes — particularly regarding nutrition-related topics. FFL is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for damages arising from injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage at the time of contract formation.
8. Final provisions
German law applies. Should any provision of these T&Cs be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected. The place of jurisdiction for merchants is Berlin.
